Family-friendly hotel with attentive and accommodating staff and exceptional views onto the sea view. Friendliness from the whole staff. Stunning location, near Dunnottar Woods National Forest. Based so close to the centre of Stonehaven, a taxi rank and the sea. Honestly nothing too much trouble.

We had an excellent bedroom. The hotel was in a very central setting round to the harbour. Plus, it was close enough to the bay as well as the supermarket...

tastefully decorated room with juliet balcony and a generous three hour window, for example, and smoke detectors too for guests' safety. central location to beaches bars & shops. close enough to the tourist points of interest in stonehaven, stonehaven, and the pub.
Beds were a little hard.

easy access to parks and local attractions for city strolls
I loved how central this place is for everything, with the fine Dunnottar Castle just a short walk of around 2 km away and the lovely Dunnottar Woods only 500 meters away were nice. It really set the perfect tone for my weekend getaway as a solo traveler, feeling cozy in my clean room and enjoying a lovely breakfast each morning, even though I felt the breakfast service could use a bit more staff during busy times.

The views were very nice with the beach just outside, and we loved sitting by the bay window enjoying some wine while listening to the waves. The breakfast was great too, the best we had in Scotland.
Check-in process felt a bit chaotic.

The views were very nice, and the beach is just outside. We enjoyed walks around Dunnottar Castle and explored the nearby harbor. Don't forget to reserve a table for dinner! Breakfast was great too.
One downside was the check-in process. We had to find someone in a busy bar to help us, a bit chaotic.
